Divine Movement
Divine Movement is a prophetic dance ministry comprised of men and women called of God to demonstrate through movement His power, His presence, and His unconditional love. Through dance, Divine Movement aims to reach all people, pointing them to our Savior, Jesus Christ, calling them to a place of worship, sharing the love of Christ, His power to heal, to deliver and to lead His people to live transformed lives with renewed minds.
The Bible reminds us that the faithful and the faithless will face trials of all sorts. In the midst of the trials, in the midst of living life day-to-day, a few place their trust in Living Savior. However, most look to other people, to material things or to substances for direction and comfort. God, through his Son Jesus Christ, is seeking “a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to Him, who will declare the praises of him who called them out of darkness into his wonderful light." (1 Peter 2:9) To this end, Divine Movement is yielded to God to be used by Him as vessels to proclaim a rhema word through dance to the people whom God loves with an everlasting love.
Through dance, Divine Movement speaks what God is saying directly into the lives of people that God ordains to be in our midst. When the word of God goes forth in the dance, we expect transformation in lives of the people; we expect that the people will be drawn even closer to the Savior. We stand on the promise of God in Isaiah 55:11, “So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it."
Divine Movement Dance Ministry was established under the direction of First Lady Ingrid Broadnax in October 2005. Divine Movement is a ministry of Mt. Pisgah African Methodist Episcopal Church, Philadelphia, P.A., where Rev. Jay B. Broadnax is the Pastor.
